Choose the wallet ecosystem you actually use
Apple Pay is designed for Apple devices, while Google Pay or Google Wallet is designed for supported Android environments. That device choice usually matters more than a feature comparison, because a wallet is only useful if it is available to your account and current device.
What does not change
Regardless of wallet, the card must be issued and active, the device must satisfy the wallet’s security requirements, and the merchant must accept the wallet. A card can be available to add but still face a payment-specific check at a merchant.
Before you add a card
- Confirm Gold or Platinum is your selected plan.
- Check the official wallet app and operating-system version.
- Review the official card-specific add-card instructions.
- Keep card details and wallet credentials private.
Neither wallet is a guarantee of merchant acceptance. Treat the official wallet and checkout flows as the source for current availability.
