Apple Pay

How to add a virtual card to Apple Pay

Gold and Platinum list Apple Pay support. Before you begin, check the live card flow, your Apple device and the current regional availability.

This guide describes preparation, not a substitute for the card-specific instructions shown in the official app or wallet flow.

Prepare the card and device

Make sure your card has been issued and is active, then check that your Apple device and Apple account are eligible to use Apple Pay. Card availability can depend on the plan, device, region, card issuer and wallet provider.

Use the official add-card route

Follow the add-card option shown in the official TWCards or Apple Wallet flow. Enter or confirm information only in the real wallet interface. Do not provide card details, codes or wallet credentials to a person offering to “add it for you.”

If the card cannot be added

  • Confirm you selected Gold or Platinum, which list Apple Pay support.
  • Check device software, wallet availability and account region.
  • Read the displayed message and avoid repeated retries.
  • Use official support routes for the relevant product.

Adding a card to Apple Pay does not guarantee every contactless merchant payment will be accepted.

Review wallet availability in the official flow

Confirm current card and device eligibility before adding a card.
