Safety

A safer online payment checklist

The strongest protection is often a small routine before you enter card details. Slow down when a checkout, message or request feels unusual.

Before you enter card details

  • Open the merchant from a trusted bookmark or a verified official link.
  • Check the complete domain spelling, checkout price and refund terms.
  • Confirm your card is active and the amount available to the card is correct.
  • Use a private, trusted network and keep your device software updated.

Keep wallet credentials separate

A card payment requires card information in the merchant’s legitimate checkout. It never requires a wallet recovery phrase or private key. Do not share those credentials with a seller, support account, browser extension or “activation” service.

After a payment

Save the merchant confirmation and review the transaction record. If anything looks unfamiliar, use available card controls promptly and use official support routes. Do not resolve a suspected problem through an unsolicited direct message.

Security guidance reduces risk but cannot guarantee that every website or transaction is safe. Use your judgement and official channels.
