Check the card, then the merchant
Confirm the card has been issued and is active. Open the live card flow and check the amount currently available to the card. Then open the merchant from a trusted source and review its price, currency, terms and accepted payment methods.
Use a safe payment routine
- Enter details only on the merchant’s verified checkout.
- Check the total, including taxes, shipping or trial renewal terms.
- Keep a record of the order confirmation.
- Review transaction activity after you pay.
If a payment does not go through
Read the exact message, check the information inside the official card flow and avoid a series of blind retries. Merchant acceptance, card status, limit, balance and verification checks can all affect the result.
A virtual card may be suitable for eligible online payments, but it is not a guarantee that every merchant will accept it.
